A Black History Unit featuring Read Alouds for All Ages Coupled with Innovative and Engaging Activities
This Black History Unit is rooted in literature created almost entirely by Black authors and illustrators that tells the stories of Black leaders, artists, and trailblazers whose contributions have made the United States a better place for everyone. With lessons featuring 21 Black Luminaries, you can do one lesson every weekday of Black History Month, or do a few lessons a month throughout the year. They were designed to be appropriate and accessible for a wide range of elementary-aged learners, from K-6th grades and even beyond.
