Let's Celebrate AAPI Heritage Month!
An Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Unit featuring Read Alouds for All Ages Coupled with Innovative and Engaging Activities
This AAPI History Unit features lesson plans for 16 revolutionary AAPI women who changed the world! All the lessons start with recommended readings from the book, Revolutionary Women: 50 Women of Color Who Reinvented the Rules by Ann Shen and build on the readings with video resources, discussion prompts, and fun and creative print-and-go activity pages. With lessons featuring 16 AAPI revolutionaries, you can do all the lessons during AAPI Heritage Month, or do a few lessons a month throughout the year. They were designed to be appropriate and accessible for a wide range of elementary-aged learners, from K-6th grades and even beyond.
